ZX Online: My Journey to Immortality

Ok. Here's a response for my friend's blog: A Farewell Letter to my dear friend

Actually, this blog entry was supposed to be posted on the day I left my Clan, Lotus, and transferred to Fatality a few months ago. This really isn’t a big deal… at least for me. We have different perceptions in life as well as in virtual life, right?

"Opinions are like wristwatches...
Everyone watches shows at a different time from others, but everyone believes that their time is correct."

I don’t really know the reason behind Lotus and Fatality being rival clans in the history of Zhu Xian Online PH.

Here's the timeline of my Journey to Immortality:

(December 2008 - April 2009)

Before ZX Online entered its closed beta phase, I was a Cabal player and was part of an all-girl gamer guild known as Cabal Girl Gamers Club. When ZX started its CBT phase, I joined a guild which was supposedly named after one of the members of that club named XIII.

I went on enjoying the company, chatting with friends and clanmates alike, sharing quotes and jokes undyingly. I never did have any bad experiences with them since being with them alone was exuberantly fun already. That is, until the clan itself disbanded due to the fact that 60 percent of these players were from other countries and their IP addresses ended up getting blocked as Jade Dynasty opened. Others quit waiting for updates for ZX Philippines and our clan master was too busy with his day job.

(April 2009 - Mid of July 2009)

Shao from the Lotus clan saw me grinding alone on day and decided to take me into his clan… or in ZX, family. However, after joining the Lotus Clan, he suddenly became inactive. Suing, however made my membership official. I enjoyed my stay even more after finding out that a co-member of the Cabal Girl Gamers Club (now known as the e-Gamer Girls Club), Mujitsu, joined in as well.

There weren’t any problems as well… aside from myself being quite the persistent overzealous kid from time to time hence Suing telling me off quite often. Being a brat much? Suing would always get mad at me whenever I chat frequently using all caps via caps lock, and spamming in both normal and clan chat hence overlapping any important announcements he made. Although, whenever I needed help to level up, the clan/family would usually do so by letting me leech. It was pretty fun considering that I was like the baby of the so-called family until I met the people behind the characters of the Lotus Clan from both ZX and Perfect World.

I’ve never encountered having any enemies’ in-game… at least not the type of people who would fight over things that aren’t even worth fighting over. Frankly, I could care less about trash talks or brawling in-game. I’m not the PK-ing type of player; I’m more of a support type really, hence joining Heaven Sound Temple. I make love not war. Lol! I’ve always been a support type even in the previous games I’ve played considering my partner’s already a PK type as well as the fact that support classes are in-demand in parties since they need them anywhere they go. We’re practically medics! Lol!

Personally, I’m not too good in building characters. If ever I had to choose a PK-type, I’d probably make a pretty weak build. Remember, the strength of the character depends on the player behind it. You may have the strongest character class, but if the one using it isn’t that knowledgeable, then it’s pointless.

(Mid of July 2009 - Present)

I had my reasons for leaving the Lotus Clan. It’s not that I had any conflicts with anyone or because of Suing. Whatever reason you may think of, it doesn’t really matter. Unreasonable you say? Well, that’s up to you, haha!

These days, it’s imperative to use your head. A game’s a game. We play it and nothing else. If you think I’m going way out of line, well, that’s your opinion. Leaving a clan doesn’t mean leaving friends which is a rather childish yet funny insight amongst online gamers.

I joined Fatality later on. It was rather difficult to adjust considering that, aside from meeting new people, Fatality and Lotus were “Mortal Enemies”. Unfortunately, since I was a former member of the rival clan, I underwent a lot of scrutiny. I was even thought to be a spy. I mean seriously, what could I gain from being a spy? I’d be making a complete fool out of myself if I were.

Like I said, regarding the origins of the conflict, I never really knew and kept ignoring that it until I became curious as to why and how things became the way they were.

I spent quite a lot of time talking to micxzzz, FzEjhay, Whingski and other Fatalz members via Skype before. It was interesting to see things from different perspectives although no matter how much I learned, it still never answered my question. Later on, I learned that everything was “just a trip”. Honestly, it really doesn’t justify a conflict that cataclysmic in spite of the fact that conflicts usually start out that way in the world of online games… at least in this country anyway. To tell you the truth, it’s become a natural phenomenon for conflicts to start through tripping out on each other. PK-ing here, trash-talking there, insults coming from different directions. Ironically entertaining isn’t it?

This is probably the most important thing I’ve learned in playing online games, how to handle yourself in both real life and virtual life. It’s a lot more challenging than grabbing spots and killing player who are AFK (Away from the Keyboard). Hahaha!

The thing is, it’s the people around me are the one who deem me different. I know myself inside and out. I'm not different from them.

In time, people change.

Something I Could Never Have

Filipino Writers. My Inspiration :)
While I was plurking around, I saw Ashley Gosiengfiao that she's designing a book cover for the Little Prince. Haha~

Then I tried to make one and started to imagine again. lol. Dreams. Dreams. Dreams. I wanted to be a famous writer someday but I think it would never come across to my life. Actually I already made a story about my life and it was characterized by another persona. lol.

Why "Something I Could Never Have"? As you can see, almost all of my social networking sites (blogger, plurk, twitter, multiply,..etc.) were entitled as "Something I Could Never Have"; It's because everything I wanted is impossible to happen. In my life, I have so many things to share-- experiences. thoughts and most of all my own quotable quotes. Hahaha~

Bob Ong is one of my favorite Author as well as Laurel Doud :)

So, I just wanna share you guys and gals that this picture that I uploaded in this blog will someday be published here in the Philippines.

But there's something missing which I don't know where I could find it in my life :(

Feelings speak louder than explanations

This is the reason why I can't blog everything for the past few months. It's hard for me to explain what I really feel no matter how I explain every bit of it. I have so many drafts here in my multiply~ more or less it's 10 drafts; a blog entry that I want to post but still~ there's something missing... I'm not contented even they were too long.

I wonder if there's a program or a blog sites that can post their feelings. When I say feelings.. it's an individual's ability to express strong emotion. You'll feel how much pain and suffering of that person.

Love. Family. Politics. Studies. Health. Friends. and the undying Money problems.

Time is soo Gold? lol

It was sooo fun to see those people in your Messenger that majority of them has a status message: Busy.

So lucky to have a 7:00pm-8:00pm class every Monday because I can still do a lot of things in preparation with my assignments and projects for 3 days. Hahahaha! Ugh! Not so haggard. I can bully my classmates anytime.LOL
Like this:

In addition with this, I also have a very spacious schedule on my spreadsheet. Hahaha! Yeah! It seems like I can do all the things I need to finish for 1 day. See my sched below:

Nagugulat nga yung iba kasi sobrang bongga daw ng schedule ko.. Hindi ko naman masisi kasi yung lang yung available na schedule na nilabas ng Registrar ng university namin @_@
Sometimes- pag break time ko na, nakakasalubong ko yung mga classmates ko
from other building.

At Canteen, nagmamadali yung iba kumain, kasi may gagawin pa daw sila sa Logic Circuit -na napakahirap ng pinapagawa sa kanila ~ In which, they have to make a self or group-study.

I don't know if manghihinayang ako sa schedule na kinuha ko kasi there are pro's and con's of having a very long vacant. Yeah! That's true.. That's why I almost spend my baon para lang sa pagkain.

Gosh! Now I know what's the cause of being obese. Hahaha!

Sometimes, I've been wondering how does it feel to have a very straight class schedule everyday. Oo nga't lunchtime ang start ng class nila, pero haller!!! bonggang bonggang walang hinto ang pagpasok ng lectures up to 8:00pm. Yung iba nga, kahit uwian na, nag-uusap usap pa sila sa CS Bench kung anong mga notes or any important things na gagawin for tomorrow.

Lalalalala..But I realized na.. I have to consider to give time to my parents. Nag-away kami ng papa ko just because of being an addict online gamer. He let me do whatever I want to do kasi pati s'ya na-bully ko.

Bad bad girl. Whoever reads this blog entry. Please do not waste our time just for fun or nothing because in the end, we'll suffer it.

Oh well.. That's all for today.. I really missed blogging. Plans. Plans.. Imaginations.. Hehehe..

ciao!~

e-GamerGirls Club ~ Aftermath

Yesterday (August 16, 2009), we had a Conference for e-GamerGirls Club but it's really called as Focus Group Discussion.

Oh well... We started the meeting around 4:30pm and the agenda was actually all about e-GamerGirls Club Constitution which is the heart of the Club because it explains and monetize the eGamer Girls Community.

Me and Community Game Master Hope (CGM Hope) were the Speaker. CGM Joy and Community Manager Sefie (CM Sefie) also helped us through sharing their thoughts and plans for the upcoming event of eGamerGirls. Focus Group Discussion would not be completed without the participation of the Senior Members and newly recruited members.. and most of all our New Honorary Members' Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao.

In addition, all of us in the meeting had given the chance to introduce ourselves; the game we usually played; our purpose in joining the club and our expectations. It's fun. It's fun. Online Gaming concerns, on-ground and in-game events plans. Pictorials. Chismax. Haha. Fun - Fun - Fun. The food also - Jollibee :)

Woah! The Male Game Masters also hopped inside after the meeting. They are very helpful *in terms of capturing us a pictures* lol. CGM Vrael, PapsB, Tsong, Tsip, Dude and PM .. (forgot the name of the Production Manager).. Haha! na-StarStruck sila sa meeting. As usual :p

AKO MISMO Event: DOG TAG Day!

Punta na tayo mga kabataan! Magsama-sama tayo at magkaisang bisig!

Over the next few months, AKO MISMO will be mounting different events nationwide to provide its members an opportunity to do something good to help others. Beyond their personal pledges, members will have a chance to volunteer for socio-civic activities they feel strongly for, and take personal action by contributing their time and talent in the service of others.

JUNE 12 IS DOG TAG DAY

On Independence Day, AKO MISMO will celebrate the event with DOG TAG DAY at the Bonifacio Global City open field. The venue will open by 2pm to allow everyone to enjoy fun and meaningful activities at the concert grounds. From 5-7pm, we will have school bands as well as professional bands performing, and everyone will have a chance to hear about the charities we are supporting. After that, the day’s event will culminate in the concert proper which will run for another 2 hours, featuring some of the country’s hottest bands: Pupil, The Dawn, Bamboo, Kamikaze, Kjwan, and Up DharmaDown. (Keep posted on this website for updates on performing bands).

There will be booths for each of our 11 beneficiary charities where people can check out and purchase specially designed AKO MISMO t-shirts and other merchandise, the proceeds of which will go towards socio-civic activities and the charity they choose to support via their purchases. Visit the booths of Caritas, Dynamic Teen Company, UN Stand Up Against Poverty, World Vision, PLDT Smart Foundation, ERDA Foundation Inc., UP PGH Cancer Institute Foundation, Cutis Laxa Benefit, PNP Badge of Honor Foundation, DDB Cares and Gawad Kalinga Foundation.

There will also be food and beverage available at partner Pepsi and McDonald’s booths, so you won’t go hungry. We will also be making available the sign-up booths for those who wish to register and become a member of AKO MISMO. Photography and video opportunity areas will also be put up, along with activity booths for Henna tattooing, face painting, and the AKO MISMO KISS MO booth, to name a few.

100 SCHOOLS: A DAY’S WORK

Watch out for announcements on this website for the launch of our A DAY’S WORK project. Simultaneous nationwide, 100 participating schools will have their students spend a day engaged in gainful work, in lieu of a typical academic school day. Students will use the day to work in an office, an establishment, or as entrepreneurs selling their wares. Earnings from the honest day’s work will go towards the school charity of choice.

LIFE BEGINS AT 40

We are happy to inform you that Ako Mismo is partnering with youth groups, schools and other like-minded organizations to mount different socio-civic activities in 40 pockets all over the country. Guided by the commitments members posted on the AKO MISMO commitment wall, our socio-civic group is currently identifying the causes most relevant in different areas all over the country. If you are a member of a group and want to participate, make sure to let us know by contacting any of us at susan@akomismo.org, mardi@akomismo.org, and cel@akomismo.org.

Watch out for more exciting details of these activities on AKO MISMO Official Website.

KAPITAN SINO By Bob Ong

Just bought Bob Ong's new book entitled as: "KAPITAN SINO" last June 2, 2009 at SM Manila National Bookstore.

That day, enrollment namin sa Adamson University.. Since pang No.161 ako sa line ng Computer Engineering Department namin para sa Advising ng mga Subjects na kukunin namin this coming semester, Angel ask me to accompany her to buy a uniform nearby SM Manila. After that, we decided to take our lunch then hindi mawawala sakin ang pumunta sa mga booskstores to take a peak on what's new on the shelf.. Hahahaha!

While luring Angel at the Literature Section, I saw a very stunning shiny gray cover.. You know, the usual expression ko: "Wow! Bonggacious naman nito!" --- And jaran! It was Bob Ong's New Book. Hahahaha. Grabe. I hurridly grab one and go to the cashier to buy it. No regrets. Xempre..

Actually, I haven't finished reading the book but I'm already at page 35. Hihihi!

So.. Anyways, here's a picture of the cover of the book. Kasi yung iba hindi naniniwala about this one. Sabi: "....totoo pala 'toh!"--- OO naman Yes! It's Real.

Here's a description about the book and it can be found at the back cover:

THERE IS SOMETHING STRANGE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

KAPITAN SINO

Ang pinakabagong superhero noon.
Mas matibay pa sa orig.
Sa mas mahabang panahon.
